Marcus Delaney learned Columbus before he ever owned a truck
Marcus Delaney was sixteen the November an out-of-town crew showed up two doors down to move a family in, the same week Ohio State had a home night game. Nobody on that truck had checked the schedule, and by six o’clock they were still four blocks away, boxed in by stadium traffic, while the grandmother moving in sat on a cold porch waiting. Marcus’s father, who drove a delivery route for a regional freight company and knew every side street on the South Side, ended up walking the driver in through an alley most crews never think to check. Marcus never forgot how much of that evening could have been avoided with a look at a calendar the night before.
That family didn’t need a bigger truck, they needed someone who’d checked the schedule ahead of time. I decided that if I ever ran a crew, checking the calendar would be step one, not something we figured out live on the sidewalk. — Marcus Delaney, owner
From that Saturday to today
Eleven years passed before Marcus actually opened Mr Mover Of Ohio, time he spent loading trucks himself for a local outfit and mapping the South Side’s alleys well enough to trust his own instincts on a route.

Adding people as the work demanded it
Each hire below happened because a specific gap opened up, not on a fixed timeline.
- 2011: One truck, one flat rate, Marcus behind the wheel for nearly every job
- 2013: Dario Whitfield joins and becomes the person we send into German Village and South Side alleys
- 2015: Priya Sandoval takes the office over and rewrites how quotes get built, by hand, from real details
- 2018: Holt Cassidy comes on, mostly running jobs in Upper Arlington and Grove City
- 2020: Corbin Ashe takes dispatch, adding OSU’s schedule and the weather forecast to how routes get planned
- 2022: Renata Sook joins for storage as the fleet hits six trucks
Problems we solve ahead of time, not on the clock
A crew flown in for a single job improvises under pressure, on your time. Ours doesn’t improvise, because the planning already happened.
- Corbin cross-references dispatch against the OSU calendar before any truck gets assigned
- An ice advisory on I-70 or I-71 changes tomorrow’s route tonight, never mid-drive
- Dario walks a German Village or South Side alley mentally before the truck ever turns onto the street
- An HOA window that slides means we move your date, not a crew waiting at a locked gate
Who actually shows up
Five names beyond Marcus, each one covering ground the others don’t.

- Corbin AsheDispatch, factors in game days and storms before a truck rolls

- Renata SookHandles storage and reschedules tied to closings
Eleven years in and I still pull up the OSU schedule myself before confirming a downtown Saturday. Referrals fill this calendar faster than any ad ever has. — Marcus Delaney, owner, Mr Mover Of Ohio
